About the classes:
Think of these classes as cultural conversation circles with a twist - you carry on the conversation in another language. And yes, this is done with fun and lots of mistakes even in the basic class!

Each class will have a conversational theme, such as fashion, food, or current events in Italy, based on a simple piece of reading in Italian handed out the previous week.

The first part of our conversation covers new vocabulary from the reading. This is followed by conversation about the topic with the goal of encouraging you to communicate your thoughts and ideas "off the cuff" in another language.

Class features:
  • Small size: These are semi-private classes, designed to allow each student plenty of attention and speaking time; only 3-7 students per class.
  • Conversational: Each student will be expected to engage in several conversational situations each week. Mistakes are encouraged!
  • Real-world: There will be a different theme every week from newspapers, menus, short stories, and more!
  • No homework: There is no homework other than the reading, but students are encouraged to build a notebook from their class and reading experience.

    Tuition:
    Tuition varies according to the length of each course. Typically the cost for 8 week class: $275.00

    A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due when you register. The balance is due at the first class meeting.
